Inaugural 5K Run/Walk

MetroBoard’s Inaugural 5K Run/Walk
Saturday, October 14, 2017
The Chicago Urban League

Registration – 7:30am
Race Begins – 8:30am

The Metropolitan Board of the Chicago Urban League [MetroBoard] will hold its first 5K run/walk on Saturday, October 14, 2017.

Sponsors, participants and supporters will help raise funds to support the Chicago Urban League’s Youth Development Center (Center for Student Development and the Human Capital Center). Initiatives include, but are not limited to, the Annual Student Mission Trip, Project Ready (a continuum of programming designed to help students with their transition into high school, college and during their first year of college) and the Back to School Fest.

This race will take place in the historic Bronzeville area of Chicago – an area that does not often see events of this type. By bringing this event to Bronzeville we hope to bring awareness to healthy habits and healthy living and to also engage the community and citizens of the area in this type of event.
